It’s been a pretty weird day. I rang up the doctor’s surgery to see if I could book an appointment with Dr Carter to go over the results of my recent MRI scan. It turns out Dr Carter is at the cricket and won’t be back till friday next week. Bugger. I asked if they would mind telling me my results; they rang Dr Carter at the cricket and told him my results, they then rang me back and told me what Dr Carter thought of my results.
It appears I have a ruptured Anterior Cruicate Ligament. Bugger. Did not see that one coming as I have been preparing myself for news of meniscus damage. No other information has been supplied so I’m unsure as to what is going on and what I need to do. Dr Carter will ring me on monday to talk. Nice – nothing like the soothing words of a doctor to assuage my fears and inform my future actions.
Unfortunately, today is not monday. All I have been told is ‘not to play sport on the weekend’…Gee thanks for the brilliant advice. So anyways, now it looks as though I need to go through the motions and emotions of knee reconstruction. You guessed it…Bugger.
good luck! let us know how you go with the doctor…
healing & mending vibes your way
Two of my good friends have had to get the same kind of procedure. It doesn’t look fun. My sympathy.
