I think it’s time I plugged some Australian musical talent. For a look at some of the good independent artists floating around at the moment, check out Music Plug . The Troubadour in Brisbane is a fantastic little venue (about the size of a large living room) that features an eclectic mix of local and interstate musicians. In an attempt to leave the cosy confines of St Lucia I have recently enjoyed shows by Coda, Luca, Gelbison, Carus, Rob Sawyer and Loren at the Troubs.

I must say that I’m very impressed with the guitar ability of Rob Sawyer and the overall musicianship of Loren. Keep an eye out for him as time drifts on. If anyone is in the area, Loren is playing at the Troubs on the 2nd of November (I think) and is definitely worth seeing!
