And that’s just the food…

I’ve found that everytime I muster up some strength to venture out into the dusty heat and find an internet cafe, I sit down and lose all motivation to write. The effort required in scribing an eloquent and cogent account of the goings-on over here appear to be a little too much to bear at the moment. So suffice to say, it’s been fun. The wedding has been an elaborate, extravagant and colourful event – full of twirling and dancing and music and laughter. The ‘assault on the senses’ has in full swing early yet one adjusts to the new environs with amazing rapidity. Crossing the street is no longer a life ambition.

So with wedding festivities over, Storm and I will head south on a train tomorrow; first to Goa and then to Kerala – time and fortune permitting.

We are looking forward to fending for ourselves after 6 days of pampered existence, replete with banquets, chauffeurs and all-expenses-paid accommodation. First, however, I’ll need to shake off my recently accumulated complacency and recently acquired intermittent stomach issue to get into the grit of things…

Aaja Rey!
